When to enable protection

• Shared workstations.
• POS, cashier, operator, laboratory or training computers.
• Unattended streaming systems.
• Protected environments where stream configuration must remain stable.

Best practices

• Configure and test ITVDesk first, then enable protection.
• Store the administrator password securely.
• Combine ITVDesk protection with operating system permissions.
• Use VMS/NVR role-based access controls for the recorder side.
